About Suzy

Suzy Butler is a qualified IAIM instructor working in the Brighton and Hove area in England. She qualified in 2006 and currently runs infant massage courses in Hove Methodist church and from her home.

She has a great passion for helping people and is Founder, Director and President of a Peruvian Charity, Kiya Survivors, for Special needs, abandoned and abused Children. She lived in Peru for 8 years helping those in need before falling pregnant with her son when she decided to return to the UK.

She still returns to Peru annually and has spent the past 2 months working in the Andean and coastal communities where the charities centres are based, teaching infant massage to parents, carers and the Kiya staff in the hope of providing essential early stimulation to babies in high risk zones where there is little to no support for the families the charity works with.

She decided to train as an infant massage Instructor after the birth of her son as he was a highly spirited baby who had numerous sleep issues. Driven to desperation after trying everything that she read in books, finally, a mid wife suggested she try massage.

She soon discovered that massage was the only thing that helped her son settle and she found that its healing and relaxing benefits were of great importance to both her and her baby. She thus decided to train as an instructor in order to reach out to other Mums hoping to help them learn to listen to their infants, encourage bonding and help sleep and small health issues such as colic.

Having been on her own for the 1st 8 months of her sons life she knows how isolating and hard being a Mum can be and from experience, she believes that massage is the way forward in promoting a more relaxed and happy relationship between parent/carer and baby and to getting more sleep!

“There is no substitute for a parents nurturing touch.
Through touch, babies receive the love that passes from
your heart,
through your hands and they first learn the comfort and security
of being loved”
